New Zealand v Argentina Rugby Betting Tips 20-09-2015
Red hot tournament favorites the All Blacks take on Argentina in this Pool C clash which sees New Zealand begin the defence of their World Cup Title.
New Zealand are overwhelming favorites to win this competition but dare I say it I don't think they should be such outright short odds. Having won 43 of their last 47 games the price has been driven down to 5/4 to win the tournament but they lost to Australia in the Rugby World Championship final and they are not infallible.
The big question is how can a country with a population of 4.5 million people be the world's strongest team in the most physical team sport on the planet? Americans look away now because all that padded nonsense that passes for football doesn't count.
Argentina are the team that everyone will want to avoid simply because of their penchant for a tear up.
I'll confess that I haven't seen the Pumas play for a long time but the punch that knocked out Paul Ackford in 1990 is still as clear in the mind as the day I saw it. Their rugby has always been plagued by indiscipline although in the 2015 Rugby Championship it was Australia who were lucky not to be yellow carded and it will be interesting to see how far Argentina have progressed.
It would be a major shock if Argentina were to win this game and the odds of 1/11 are on the way to being tempting, although not enough to put hard earned cash into the fray. The 21 point handicap is definitely worth a punt.
