Warren Gatland’s controversial decision to exclude Brian O Driscoll from the starting 15 has not met with universal approval from many ex-Lions players.
In fact it would be fair to say that the manager’s judgement is being brought directly under the microscope.
Both matches so far have been very even games with Australia possibly shading the first game even though they managed to miss two penalties to win the game in the dying minutes and the Lions deserving to win the second game again missing a long penalty in the last minute.
So everything is set up perfectly for the third game and despite numerous injuries to both teams there are still game winners on each side. The odds of this match ending in a draw are 20 to 1.
Our betting though for this game is very easy as we have a money back offer from Betvictor which means that if the Lions lose this game then our bet is refunded.
No question then where we will be placing our money.
As for Warren Gatland’s decision to omit Brian O’Driscoll-the Lions need to bring a better kicking game as the efforts to kick the ball into space behind the Australian defence were woefully inadequate hence the inclusion of Jonathan Davies.
