Tottenham V Everton Football Betting Tips
Game four of the new 2015 football season and Spurs are still looking for their first win. Everton are going to be sturdy opposition this weekend though and they are going to have to come up with something special to take all three points.
Tottenham have so far been the architects of their own downfall making mistakes in all three games so far that have cost them maximum points. An own goal in their opening game against Manchester United denied them what would have been a great away point and then they have given up leads in the games against Stoke and Leicester to end up with two points from their first three games.
Striker Harry Kane is yet to open his account this season although he has been an impressive performer and Spurs are searching frantically for an additional striker to partner him up front. The deal for Berahino looks like it is stalled with West Brom flatly refusing to sell.
Everton put in an impressive performance against Southampton running out 3-0 winners and that was backed up with a superb come from behind display against Burnley in the League cup midweek.
Everton are holding on grimly to defender John Stones in the face of some serious bidding from Chelsea but every player has his price and Chelsea are going to have to come up with a huge fee to get their man. Which they surely will.
Christian Eriksen misses out on this game for Spurs due to a knee injury but Alli could start after impressing against Leicester and he could line up in an attacking formation with Dembele and Chadli supporting Kane.
Gerard Deulofeu did his match day credentials no harm at all with an excellent cameo midweek in the Everton league cup win and he will probably make the starting eleven. Lukaku will be looking forward to taking on the Spurs defence.
I'm expecting Everton to pile the pressure on Spurs manager Pottechino by winning here, particularly if Martinez holds his nerve and includes John Stones in the match day squad.
