Kick Off: 3PM Saturday 12th January 2013.
Sunderland would probably have hoped to be a little higher in the league table than their current 14th position but their away form has not been good and against Liverpool in thier last away game they were woeful.
Injuries in defence to the ex Man United players Wes Brown and John O Shea have thrown a spanner in the works because both players are real quality and would make the first team in most premier league sides.
Blackburn are searching for a new manager after letting Henning Berg go and how they must be ruing letting Sam Allardyce go. This was a massive blunder for Allardyce is one of the best managers in the business and one of the most progressive in the use of technology to aid training and performance regimes. West Ham would be in the relegation places without him at the helm.
So this is a match up of two very astute managers and two of the best in the business. Allardyce takes more risks with his player selection and he was unlucky to come unstuck with the injury riddled Andy Carroll who has hardly managed a start.
Maybe another ex Liverpool player with something to prove in Joe Cole can come in and do the business for him.
After losing at home to Tottenham and then away to Liverpool the home fans will be baying for a win here and I'm backing Sunderland to do just that.
Sunderland are 5/4 across the board to win this game.
