Norwich 0 Liverpool 3 Match Review

K Updated

Suarez Silenced the Boo Boys.

One of the Greatest Premier League Hat Tricks.

This time the chances were put away and confirmed what Liverpool supporters were thinking.

This side can play a bit. With more finishing of this ilk the Reds would be contending for a Champions League spot.

It is clear to every reds fan that what we need is a proven goal scorer.

A 35 million man.

Someone who scores goals for fun.

A Torres - on his best days in a Liverpool shirt.

The chances are being made aplenty and once again they managed to hit the woodwork making it 31 times so far this season but that joke is starting to wear thin.

The team effort was no different to the team effort in the loss against West Bromwich Albion.

The difference was Luis Suarez whose hat trick laid to one side the play acting and scowling that opposing supporters love to hate and for once let his feet do the talking.

And wow! Can they talk.

First of all let's get Norwich out of the way. Without being unkind to Norwich fans they were poor in defence and Pepe Reina was a spectator for most of this game. There is a lot of team effort here and Paul Lambert is getting every last inch of energy from his players.

But this was the Luis Suarez show.

The first goal, curled into the far corner after being teed up by a vibrant Gerrard was a pearler. The keeper was left grasping at thin air as the ball flew desperately out of reach. But it was behind him anyway before had a chance to stretch out a hand.

The second goal would make any striker worthy of the name proud to have scored it. With a postage stamp to aim at from the left of the area the ball arrowed into the side netting and was a goal of pure class.

It made you wonder where the shooting boots had been hidden for most of the season.

And the third?

Only a handful of players on the world could have scored this goal. It was a Beckham copycat. From fully fifty yards the ball sailed up into the air and we watched in amazement as the keeper scurried back to no avail ending up in the net with the ball.

It was an unbelievable goal and showed that this player has real greatness within him.

This was one of the all-time greatest hat tricks of the premier league era.

Next up it is Fulham at home.

Can we take this form into the Cup Final.

We need to if Torres has found his shooting boots again.
