Manchester United v Tottenham 08/08/2015 12:45PM
Is football back already? What, you hadn't noticed it's been away?
The opening Premier league fixture for the 2015/2016 season gets us underway at Old Trafford with a fixture that down the years has provided plenty of excitement and goals.
United have been on a spending spree over the summer transfer window with several high profile signings and this looks more like a Manchester United team fielding several superstars rather than midfield cannon fodder that has got them by over the past couple of seasons.
Bastian Schweinstiger and Morgan Schneiderlin have come in to big up the midfield whilst Dutch winger Memphis Depay will take up a berth on the wing.
As well as buying there have been some big name departures. Robin Van Persie has headed off to Fenerbache and Angel Di Maria has left for PSG whilst erstwhile stalwarts Tom Cleverley and Nani have also both moved on to pastures new.
Tottenham have lost far more players over the summer than they have bought and so there may still be some transfer business to be done here. Centre back Toby Alderweireld will boost the central defence alongside Kevin Wimmer but Paulinho, Kaboul, Holtby and Stambouli are all regulars that have left the club.
The best news this summer for Tottenham was that emerging England star harry kane would be staying with the club and he is hotly tipped to be the player of the season.
With so many coming and going at the start of the season and with both teams enjoying a very mixed pre season I'm going to go for the draw.
