Manchester City v Chelsea Football Betting Tips
Chelsea travel to the Etihad stadium nursing a headache from their 2-2 home draw with Swansea and needing a doctor to administer some much needed stress relieving love to Jose Mourinho.
Poor, Poor Jose. Not only does his goalkeeper get sent off when clearly well within his own area for taking out the opposition player but his own staff have the temerity to treat their own injured player when beckoned from the bench by the referee.
To coin a phrase = "What is he smoking over there"?
Arsene Wenger must go home, put his feet up and grin inwardly at the ridiculousness of it all.
Two players stood our for me in the Chelsea v Swansea game and neither was in a blue shirt.
Jefferson Montero had Ivanovic playing Twister. He was that good. Time and again he took on the Chelsea left back and beat him all ends up. If that kind of form continues Swansea have one of the best players in the Premiership on their hands.
The second was Jonjo Shelvey who I know well from his days at Liverpool. Shelvey did a passable impersonation of Steven Gerrard at his best with some glorious hollywood passes and it was only the finishing of Gomis that failed to round off a spectacular display. Take nothing away from Gomis who had a sensational game.
And so what are we to make of this Chelsea side?
Their Community shield loss to Arsenal was their third pre season defeat and the Blues have looked sluggish so far. Don't forget they also went down to Fiorentina at home last week.
Chelsea will be without keep Courtois who managed to get himself sent off and Oscar also looks doubtful.
Manchester City look like a runaway truck that isn't going to be stopped.
Yaya Toure was sensational in their 0-3 away win over West Brom and just as importantly Vincent Kompany looks back to his very best. They may have lost some forward firepower in this transfer window losing Dzeko but they still have ample ammunition to beat a self imploding Chelsea.
