Whilst the Physios at Melwood work overtime in the treatment room to try and put together a team to face Arsenal on Wednesday, The manager is doing his bit by recalling players out on loan back to the fold.
The latest to be recalled is goalkeeper Andy Ward who has excelled at Aberdeen and has been their player of the season so far. It is likely he'll jump ahead of the error ridden Bogdan in the goalkeeping pecking order.
You have to feel some sympathy for Bogdan, you wait all this time for a first team opportunity and then twice in succession you screw up routine plays that lead to an opposition goal. Football can be a cruel game.
Toure will return in central defence probably alongside Sakho with regulars Clyne and Moreno flanking them. Three from Milner, Henderson, Lucas and Can make up the midfield with Firminho, Ibe and Lallana possibly forming the front three. Benteke will struggle to impose himself against Mertesacker and I expect him to start from the bench.
One thing that this Liverpool team has in abundance is energy and whilst the goal difference column still tells its own sorry story (-2) if they play at 100% as Klopp has demanded then with a decent Kop backing they should push Arsenal close in this game.
From a hard nosed betting perspective you have to back Arsenal to win here because without Sturridge Liverpool are an impotent force in front of goal. The Gunners may have their own injury problems but in front of goal they are not passing up opportunities.
I'm backing an Arsenal win by the odd goal.
