Huddersfield v Nottingham Forest Football Betting Tips 24-09-2015
Two Championship strugglers go head to head tonight with both sides looking for the points that will catapult them into the play off places.
Both teams sit mid table so it may be unfair to call them “strugglers” but it is fair to say that their results so far have been patchy.
Chris Powell's Huddersfield got off to a creaky start when they garnered a measly three points from their first six games which is even worse than Liverpool have managed so far this season.
Since those early struggles they have managed to put together back to back wins which has steadied the ship and brought them up to 13th in the table. Liverpool have managed to equal that position, no better, no worse.
After defeating Charlton away they put four goals past Bolton Wanderers on Saturday and that is just two shy of Liverpool's total of six for the season.
Can you see a recurring theme here?
Emyr Huws has scored in both of those wins including two against Bolton and his three goals are just one short of the four Liverpool have scored in the league so far.
Huddersfield have lost just one of their last six at the John Smith's stadium so they are going to be difficult for Forest to break down whereas Liverpool haven't won in six.
For their part Forest played what manager Dougie Friedman considered to be their best game of the season in the loss to Middlesbrough at the weekend with the opposition goalie playing a blinder and saving a penalty. Freedman's side had 21 shots on goal eventually going down 2-1.
“We showed a lot of character” said Freedman after the game.
Actually I'm making that bit up.
With the home team two wins on the spin but a leaky defence and Forest playing their best football of the season but not winning I'm going to go for the draw.
