Chelsea V Arsenal Football Betting Tips 19-09-2015
Perhaps the most popular bet for this fixture would be whether or not the managers will shake hands after the event. I think it would be along the lines of 10/1 that they didn't and I'd love to see Arsenal win 3-0 and Wenger attempt to shake hands before disappearing down the tunnel with five minutes of the match remaining.
My dislike for Jose Mourinho has intensified this season what with his rounding on his own medical staff to cover up for his own teams failings and then ranting at Martinez because he wanted to go first in the press debrief after the Everton game.
It's not his will to win I question, rather the way in which innocent bystanders get caught up in his random outbursts. As the team sinks closer to the bottom of the table so the bile rises.
The man has no class. He's used up all the credit in the bank as far as the neutrals go and everyone bar Chelsea supporters will be willing Arsenal to win this game and put the boot in. Hard.
This is a huge opportunity for Wenger to get payback for all the miserable jibes that Mourinho has distastefully paraded over the last couple of seasons.
His “specialist in failure” remark was just another in a long line of insults that can barely hide the jealousy that bubbles underneath the surface. Ambramovich is not known for suffering poor results gladly and a win here for Wenger could tip the mad Russian Oligarch over the edge.
Schadenfraude would be the word to describe that.
To do that though Wenger is going to have to come up with a way to stifle the Chelsea attacking threat because they have lost the last two games at Stamford Bridge 2-0 and 6-0 but good news for the Arsenal manager is that the regular Chelsea goalkeeper, Courtois, is out injured.
These derby games are always a bet in the dark because of the high probability of a player getting sent off or the real Arsenal team failing to turn up but in this case the bet is simple.
Chelsea to win is 27/20 at Coral and that is good odds for this game so for all you neutrals and fence sitters that is the bet to make.
If this game ends in a draw or Arsenal win then you will lose a tenner but gain the smug satisfaction of seeing Mourinho squirm on the hook.
