Augsburg host Liverpool in what is being billed as the biggest game in their history and a capacity 30,000 sell out will welcome Liverpool manager Klopp back to his homeland.
Markus Weinzierl's team are struggling in the Bundesliga and sit 14th in the table with 21 points from 21 games. Only six points separate them from the dreaded drop zone and whilst this game will be a welcome distraction from their plight in the league, Augsburg are in woeful form.
Liverpool on the other hand come into this game after handing out a 0-6 thrashing to Aston Villa, who were abysmal on Sunday and went some way to getting the FA Cup defeat out of the system.
That defeat – to West Ham – means that Liverpool have no game this weekend and for the first time in a breathless campaign Klopp can choose his side without having to worry about who to rest for the next game.
For that reason I expect he will put out his strongest side, possibly the same eleven that dispatched Villa so ruthlessly and with Sturridge and Coutinho back in the side Liverpool suddenly have an attacking threat that has been badly missing for most of the season.
Sturridge's return is most welcome, particularly with the Capital One cup final against Manchester City looming and Klopp will be wanting to give him game time now to return to full match fitness.
The Reds are still to field their full strength defence though with Lovren returning home through illness and Skrtel hampered with a hamstring problem.
To the betting:
Liverpool start as favourites at 21/20 to win the tie, Augsburg 31/10 and the draw 127/50. There's really no excitement there and given Liverpool's capacity to take one step forward and two back it would be foolhardy to bet on them winning here.
Given Liverpool's propensity to give away silly goals at set pieces and that the Augsburg keeper is pretty decent betting on the result doesn't look enticing so I'm going for short odds in order to try and keep the winning streak on track.
