Another superb weekend of domestic football awaits this weekend and it is a great chance to get some bets on – I will once again be trying to pick out some winners.
Last week was very close to being a memorable one, with my eight-fold accumulator that would have returned over £500 nearly coming in. Six of the teams managed to win, but West Bromwich Albion went down at Fulham when a draw had been predicted and Manchester City couldn't win at Stoke City – something that would have let many people down.
I was then also very close to a £90 win in the mid-week fixtures, but Benfica did not manage to win at Celtic. So with plenty of near wins, I cannot be too far off winning, lets hope that it comes this weekend.
In the Premier League this weekend there really are some great fixtures on show, but for my first bet I am going to steer clear of the top flight as a lot of evenly matched teams go up against each-other, making it tough to predict.
So, to start things off we are going to be looking at a seven-fold accumulator which mixes teams to win and the both teams to score market – so it should be an interesting one.
This bet is across the Championship, League One and League Two and it is a balance between bets that look odds on and an away side picking up points in a couple of matches:
Millwall v Brighton Hove Albion – Brighton Hove Albion @ 7/4
Scunthorpe United v Colchester United – Scunthorpe United @ 11/10
Barnet v Rotherham United – Rotherham United @ 4/5
Leeds United v Nottingham Forest – Both teams to score – YES
Sheffield Wednesday v Bolton – Both teams to score – YES
Crawley Town v Tranmere Rovers – Both teams to score – YES
Northampton Town v Chesterfield – Both teams to score – YES
A £2 bet on this one would see a return of £102.00, so it is a fantastic bit of value. Both Rotherham and Brighton picking up points away from home could be a tough ask, but they are each in a good bit of form at the moment and I expect them to do so.
Then, with these both teams to score bets, your bet is always live and you always feel as though there is a chance of winning.
The second bet I usually look at as one to win some big money, and this week is no different, however it is going to be a little bit different. Instead of a nine or ten-fold, it is going to be a five-fold, picking out where I think a few surprises could happen this weekend.
I am also diving back into some Premier League games for this one:
Wigan Athletic v Fulham – Wigan Athletic @ 29/20
West Ham United v Sunderland – Sunderland @ 13/5
Southampton v Aston Villa - Aston Villa @ 21/10
Ipswich Town v Charlton Athletic – Charlton Athletic @ 14/5
Leicester City v Hull City – Hull City @ 29/10
Put £2 on this one and then you are looking at a return of £831.20. The two Championship games are a big shout here, but Ipswich seem to be a club really struggling at the moment and lacking any confidence, whereas Leicester had a mid-week win and are incredibly inconsistent, I can't see them winning again.
In the Premier League matches, Fulham are dreadful away from home, Sunderland look to be a solid outfit and Paul Lambert is starting to have an impact on the Aston Villa team.
Best of luck this week this weekend, don't forget to let us at GYBO know how you got on!
Accumulator Tip #4 – Do your research, look at a how a team are performing, head-to-head records etc. You will really see the benefit!
