This time of the season is where placing an accumulator can be a little bit easier as we are all starting to see which teams look strong and which don’t like picking up any points at all.
I was not far away from a win last weekend, with Blackpool going down at Cardiff and Norwich being thrashed by Liverpool being the big games to let me down, and I am sure they did for many of you as well.
However, the Champions League was good to me this week as I managed a hand £52 win on a five-fold accumulator that included away wins for Celtic and AC Milan, along with Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United.
So this weekend, we are going to go for something similar, looking at teams that look like picking points up on the road for that little bit of extra value.
Once again this is a five-fold and I am confident that this one will come in. It is spread across the Premier League and Championship on Saturday.
West Ham United v Arsenal – Arsenal @ evens
Wigan Athletic v Everton - Everton @ 21/20
Ipswich Town v Cardiff City – Cardiff City v 11/8
Derby County v Brighton and Hove Albion – Brighton and Hove Albion @ 8/5
Peterborough United v Nottingham Forest – Nottingham Forest @ 13/10
A £2 stake here would return £116.46.
All five of these sides are in decent form at the moment and I expect a reaction from Arsenal after their defeat to Chelsea last weekend.
With none of them being odds-on for the win either, it does make the winning that bit higher.
Next up we are going for some big money yet again, but to mix it up a little bit this one is going to involve five matches yet again, but ones that I believe will end in a draw.
You always get good value on a draw – these are the matches I am predicting the end in a stalemate.
Swansea City v Reading @ 5/2
West Bromwich Albion v Queens Park Rangers @ 11/4
Birmingham City v Huddersfield Town @ 13/5
Blackburn Rovers v Wolverhampton Wanderers @ 13/5
Notts County v [email protected] 5/2
I like the look of putting £1 on this one for a massive return of £603.29. All of these teams look to be evenly matched, with the big risk being QPR picking something up at West Brom.
In the Premier League, a team always picks up points when you least expect it – and Rangers have the players capable of grabbing a point at the Hawthorns.
It does look set to be another thrilling weekend across all of the leagues and one where there is definitely money to be won.
