It is time again to start looking ahead to another fantastic weekend of domestic football and after some of the games we have seen in the last week, it is all set for another enthralling couple of days of action.
Last weekend, my accumulator for £39.35 was only let down by Manchester United beating Chelsea, where a draw had been predicted. This looked to be a great shout when it was eleven v eleven, but the Blues going down to nine-men really cost me and I think I can count myself unlucky on that one.
This time out though I am hoping my luck will change and that I can pocket a decent sum with my two tips for the weekend.
It is of course FA Cup first round weekend and that is where I will be hoping to win some big money with a goals galore bet.
First up though, a five-fold accumulator on games in the Premier League and Championship to make some handy cash.
Norwich City v Stoke City – Norwich City @ 17/10
Swansea City v Chelsea – Chelsea @ 7/10
Tottenham Hotspur v Wigan Athletic – Tottenham Hotspur @ 5/6
Hull City v Barnsley – Hull City @ 8/11
Watford v Leicester City – Leicester City @ 6/5
A £2 stake here returns £52.61 which to me looks like great value.
Norwich have started to play some good football under Chris Hughton and have won two games in two at Carrow Road, so I expect their form to continue.
Then, Chelsea have the fire power and team spirit to bounce back after their first defeat last weekend and Tottenham at home to a Wigan side that do not travel well looks fairly safe.
The same applies to Hull as they are looking like a very strong team this campaign and Leicester have enough to strength in their squad to win at Watford.
As mentioned, we now head into the goals galore market for some big money on Saturday and it is all about the first round of the FA Cup.
Match betting in cup competitions is so tough, so both teams to score looks like the best way to make money, and these are the matches I am going for.
Bournemouth v Dagenham & Redbridge
Chelmsford City v Colchester
Chesterfield v Hartlepool
Gillingham v Scunthorpe
Preston v Yeovil
Rotherham v Stevenage
Southend v Stockport
Swindon v Macclesfield
Northampton v Bradford
Forest Green v Port Vale
Again, a £2 stake looks good on this one as it will return £302.00. As we have seen in cup competitions this season - goals often come thick and fast and at this stage of the season, not many teams want a replay so will go all out to try and win.
I am quietly confident of a win in this one as a team always raises their game when they are the underdogs.
As ever, good luck in your bets this weekend and don’t forget to keep letting us at GYBO know how you got on!
Accumulator Tip #10 – watch the results come in with your friends who also have bets on, it makes for a lot more entertainment. You’ll see some slips torn up and some tucked away to cash-in!
