As always in English football, another superb weekend of fixtures lie ahead and I am hopeful of picking some winners this time out.
I was so close again to a winner last time out with my seven-fold accumulator – six of the results came and I just needed both teams to score in Northampton v Chesterfield, but it ended in a 0-0.
Anyway, we move on and try to pick some more winners this weekend and the Premier League fixtures look as though they are easier to predict.
With that in mind, I am looking at Premier League fixtures only for my first accumulator. Many bets are sure to be on the early kick-off between Arsenal and Chelsea, but we are going to skip that one as your betting for the day could be over before 3PM.
This is a five-fold accumulator, picking out the results that I am confident will happen.
Everton v Southampton – Everton @ 2/5
Norwich City v Liverpool – Draw @ 11/4
Reading v Newcastle United – Newcastle United @ 6/4
Stoke City v Swansea City – Stoke City @ 9/10
Sunderland v Wigan Athletic – Sunderland @ 21/10
A £2 stake on these five matches will return £102.40 – which would be a good afternoon! Everton are looking very strong this campaign and Southampton will struggle to take anything from Goodison Park.
Norwich and Liverpool are both searching for their first win, making that a relatively cagey affair, whilst Newcastle should take all three points at Reading – who are low on confidence.
Then, betting on both Stoke City and Sunderland winning at home looks to be fairly safe.
Next up, we are going for big money and staying away from the top flight. Last time out I predicted five shock results, which did not come through.
Mixing it up this weekend, we are going for an eight-fold that has every chance of coming in.
Cardiff City v Blackpool – Draw @ 13/5
Charlton Athletic v Blackburn Rovers – Blackburn Rovers @ 31/20
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Sheffield Wednesday – Wolverhampton Wanderers @ 9/10
Carlisle United v Crawley Town – Crawley Town @ 7/4
Colchester United v Hartlepool United – Colchester United @ 6/5
MK Dons v Crew Alexandra – MK Dons @ 11/20
Preston North End v Yeovil Town – Preston North End @ 4/5
Stevenage Borough v Bury – Stevenage Borough @ 3/5
I like the look of putting £3 on this one for a return of £1390.87, and what a fantastic win that would be.
As always with these big money bets, a few risks have to be put on. Colchester have a new manager in Joe Dunne who takes charge of his first game, which usually sparks a response from the players. Expect them to raise their game and take the first win of their campaign.
Also, I fully expect Crawley and Blackburn to bounce back after disappointing results last time out.
I hope that you have success on your bets this weekend, make sure as always that you let us at GYBO know how you have done!
Accumulator Tip #4 – Instead of one big bet, place three or four with small stakes. You then have more chances of a win and it makes for a lot of entertainment!
