We could all do with a little bit of extra cash over the Christmas period, so placing a football accumulator this weekend seems like a good idea, doesn’t it?
Whether you are after that last minute present or simply want a few beer tokens over the festive season, you have come to the right place as I am trying to win some money on Saturday’s football.
As I am feeling in the Christmas spirit, I am going to give you three bets for this weekend’s action, so let’s hope that I can pick at least one winner.
First up, I am going for a cheeky double. It is two home sides that are very strong on their day, and look to be a cracking bit of value.
So here it is.
Newcastle United v Queens Park Rangers – Newcastle United @ 21/20
Leeds United v Middlesbrough – Leeds United @ 17/10
If you put £10 on this one, you are looking at a return of £55.35, which is a very good return for a double.
QPR might be expected to go on a bit of a run after their first win of the season, but I think Newcastle really need the points and should have a bit too much for their opponents. Leeds are then tough to ignore at such a good price and even though they played during the week, you have to fancy them on home soil.
Next up, I am heading into League One and League Two for a threefold. So, instead of messing around, here it is.
Coventry City v Preston North End - Coventry City @ 6/5
Brentford v Stevenage – Brentford @ 4/5
Wycombe Wanderers v Bradford City – Bradford City @ 13/10
A £5 stake here would return you £44.35, a decent bit of value I think you’ll agree?
All three of these teams are in decent form right now and if they are at their best, should be claiming all three points.
Finally, it wouldn’t be Christmas without a bit of a gamble would it? So take a look at this fourfold that could make the next few days all the more special.
It is all about the away teams for this one, and yes, they are all the outsiders.
West Bromwich Albion v Norwich City – Norwich City @ 29/10
Southampton v Sunderland – Sunderland @ 13/5
Leicester City v Cardiff City – Cardiff City @ 13/5
Birmingham City v Burnley – Burnley @ 2/1
Although these are the outsiders, it does look like having a chance of coming in.
Norwich are the form side in the Premier League and seem capable of picking up results against anyone.
Then, you never know what you are going to get with Southampton and they might be a bit rusty after not playing last week, so Sunderland could take the spoils.
Cardiff are the Championship leaders, so always expect to come out on top and Burnley have Charlie Austin, which means they are likely to score goals.
Best of luck with your bets this weekend and don’t forget to let us at GYBO know get on.
