Friday evening is the time to be placing your accumulators this week with a whole host of World Cup qualifiers taking place.
Last week, I was very close to a winner yet again – with Everton and Brighton being the teams to cost me over £100. It was always a risk going for away teams, but I was hopeful they had enough to come out on top.
However, this week I am confident of picking some international winners and making some profit on Friday evening.
Betting on international this week looks to be very tough though – with many of the big teams going up against minnows of the international game, so the odds do not offer any kind of value.
The aim is to back some of the bigger nations, along with a couple of surprise results to get a good return.
The first bet I am going to place for Friday evening is a five-fold accumulator and I am looking past the likes of England beating San Marino, as the odds are simply not worth it.
Russia v Portugal – Portugal @ 17/10
Bulgaria v Denmark – Denmark @ 6/4
Belarus v Spain – Spain @ 1/9
FYR Macedonia v Croatia – Croatia @ 8/11
Wales v Scotland – Draw @ 9/4
Keeping your stakes low on international games is always a good idea as it can be so unpredictable, so a £1 bet looks to be a good shout for this accumulator and it will see a return of £42.09.
Portugal have Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the best players on the planet at the moment which is why I fancy them to win in Russia as he can be the real difference between the two sides.
Denmark showed what a good side they are in Euro 2012, so I fancy them to qualify for the World Cup and lay a marker down to their group with a win in their match. Then you have Spain and Croatia, who look to be a safe bet.
Finally, neither one of Wales or Scotland look like winning a game at the moment, which is why a good value bet on a draw is wise.
I am going for something a little bit different in my second bet for the week, and looking at the amount of goals in a match.
I am over for either over 3.5 or 4.5 in four matches and what makes it great is that either side can score these goals to help the bet come in.
Belarus v Spain – Over 4.5 goals @ 3/1
Republic of Ireland v Germany – Over 3.5 goals @ 2/1
Serbia v Belgium – Over 3.5 goals @ 7/2
FYR Macedonia v Croatia – Over 3.5 goals @ 7/2
Put a pound on this one and your returns will be £210.45 – which is superb value.
I fully expect Spain to hand Belarus a thrashing and can also see plenty of goals between Ireland and Germany.
Belgium are likely to attack Serbia, meaning that that game could also be full of goals and once again, Croatia could beat Macedonia comfortably.
Best of luck for Friday nights bets, don’t forget to let us at GYBO know how you get on!
