Before we dive into this week's football accumulator let's have a quick recap of last week's action to find out where we are.

Here are the games from last week:

Hull v Sunderland – Draw 12/5 1-0

West Ham v Aston Villa Home win 6/5 0-0

West Bromwich v Crystal Palace Home win 4/7 2-0

Arsenal v Liverpool Draw 5/2 2-0

One out of four then which is disappointing so what's the verdict?

Well actually we weren't really that far way. Picking the home win for Hull and the draw for West Ham was a more likely scenario (it's easy to say in hindsight) and with that we would have been close but of course I underestimated just how good Arsenal would be and they were a much better team on the day and fully deserved the win against Liverpool.

However! If the referee had let play go on when the quick free kick was taken we might have had a different game on our hands but I won't keep going on that track because it's just sour grapes really.

So before the Liverpool game had even kicked off we'd lost our money and that is just such a good reason for sticking to the formula and only including games in the accumulator that kick off at the same time. Breaking the rules occasionally has to be done though!

This Saturday I've picked four games that all kick off at 3pm on Saturday:

Aston Villa v Cardiff  - Draw @ 5/2

Crystal Palace v Everton - Away Win @ 8/15

Chelsea v West Bromwich - Draw @ 19/4

Southampton v Hull City - Home Win @ 11/20

Will Chelsea spank West Brom? I don't think so. West Bromwich played really well when they came to Anfield and were only undone by some very classy finishing from Suarez and Sturridge and they have a good chance of forcing a draw here.

Villa v Cardiff just screams draw at you so let's hope no one nicks a deflected goal and steals our winnings!

Everton and Southampton are more conventional calls and the bookies agree so with the two draws in the pot, a home win and an away win we have a nicely balanced acca which returns good money if it comes in.
