Last weeks fourfold accumulator never looked like bringing home the bacon as Aston Villa lost another home fixture and the alarm bells will be starting to ring for Villa fans.

Which was a shame really because we managed three out of four and we would have had a good sweat on if Villa had managed to put up some resistance and look like gaining a draw.

That’s the nature of the beast though, how many times do you hear your mates bemoaning the fact that one got away?

This Saturday’s fixtures are set up perfectly for all you Arsenal and Liverpool supporters as if we can find a combination of games in the 3 o’clock fixtures to give us a winning treble we could be watching the Arsenal V Liverpool game with added interest.

First of all we can discount Newcastle United V Chelsea as it’s an early kick-off and we don’t want to ruin the fun before we’ve even got started!

Secondly we can discount Manchester city V Norwich city for a home banker as the odds on the home win are too short but the draw at 6 to 1 is a tempting possibility. You can get a massive 17 to 1 on the away win in this game but with Joe Hart being replaced in goal your chances have just been limited even more.

Fulham v Manchester United is a good candidate for the draw and the 16 to 5 on offer looks reasonable value.

Hull city V Sunderland is another good candidate for the draw at 12 to 5 with what is going to be a massively improved Sunderland side visiting one of the candidates for relegation.

Stoke city V Southampton is a good candidate for the draw or the away win and I will also figure in the 6/5 on offer for West Ham to beat Aston Villa who are on a woeful run at the moment. West Bromwich are a shoo-in at 4 to 7.

So let’s see if we can build a treble out of these fixtures knowing that we are going to be betting on the draw in the late kick-off between Arsenal and Liverpool at 5/2.

That means we are looking at finding two home winners and one more draw to make up the accumulator.

The two home winners that stand out for me are the games at West Ham and West Bromwich so that’s pretty easily done with little analysis required. West Ham are coming up against an out of sorts Aston Villa team whilst West Bromwich, who played reasonably well against Liverpool but were undone by three fabulous strikes are a much better team than Crystal Palace.

That leaves us looking to find one draw from the three remaining games and Hull City v Sunderland looks like the prime candidate at 12/5. The odds are short for the draw at Stoke and which United team is going to turn up at Fulham?

Here’s the finished accumulator:

Hull v Sunderland – Draw 12/5

West Ham v Aston Villa Home win 6/5

West Bromwich v Crystal Palace Home win 4/7

Arsenal v Liverpool Draw 5/2

Now of course normally we wouldn’t be including the Arsenal V Liverpool game as it is a late kick-off but as the game is live on sky sports and comes after our earlier Accumulator fixtures and not before it’s worth breaking the rule for this one.
