British bookmakers have suffered their heaviest losses ever on football this weekend, estimated at over £25 million pounds, due to what has been described as a ‘perfect storm’ in terms of football results.Simon Clare, Coral spokesman, explained, “The football results on Saturday were absolutely shocking for bookmakers. Fourteen of the top fifteen best backed selections all won yesterday and by this morning thousands of small stakes punters across Britain had landed winning accumulators paying £500 or more.”

What I like most about betting football accumulators at Betvictor is the "UK long match list" which lists all of the weekend football games in an easy to read format and makes putting together an accumulator super easy.If I had one complaint about it though it is that it is too easy to add in games that take place on the sunday or are early/late kick offs which can either kill the action before it has begun or leave you sweating on the late Sunday kick off.

This week I've picked a fivefold Premier league accumulator coombining three home wins with two draws to make a very respectable return of £870.30 for a £10 stake at Betvictor. All five games kick off at 3PM so it should provide us with some good entertainment throughout the afternoon. Here are your games:Norwich v Crystal Palace Cardiff v Arsenal Everton v Stoke West Ham v Fulham Aston Villa v Sunderland

Last weeks fourfold accumulator never looked like bringing home the bacon as Aston Villa lost another home fixture and the alarm bells will be starting to ring for Villa fans.Which was a shame really because we managed three out of four and we would have had a good sweat on if Villa had managed to put up some resistance and look like gaining a draw. That’s the nature of the beast though, how many times do you hear your mates bemoaning the fact that one got away?

One of the funniest things on television this week was a clean-shaven Roy Keane remarking that "he wouldn't lose any sleep" over the revelations in Sir Alex Ferguson's new book, imaginatively titled "my autobiography," painting Keane as a demonic monster. It was as if Ferguson had become horrified at the Frankenstein type character that he had helped to create and shipped him out before he could do any serious damage. In some ways Keane as a presenter reminds me of Graeme Souness, there is a dark brooding barely concealed menace lying just under the surface. It's like watching car crash TV, you just know that there is going to be one of those "moments" in their broadcasting career when they just can't contain the pent-up furious rage inside them.
