This week I'm returning to our tried and trusted home banker formula and hoping that none of the outsiders manage to spring an upset. Last week bottom of the Conference table and my home town Telford United managed to cause an upset by gaining their first away win of the season and only their third in total since the season started so we have definitely used up more than our fair share of bad luck.
In fairness to Telford their recent form has belied their lowly table position and a fantastic win in midweek against Conference South pace setters Basingstoke has seen them progress to the second round of the FA Cup and a mouth watering away tie at high fliers Bristol City.
Whatever the result in that game Telford will pocket upwards of £80,000 for this match and it will go a long way to helping to ensure Conference survival for the part timers.
Here are this weeks home bankers:
Bournemouth v Ipswich Town 5/6
Stranraer v Airdreionians 4/7
MK Dons v Port Vale 4/6
Forfar v Ayr 8/13
Blackburn v Leeds 7/10
Bradford v Gillingham 4/5
Arbroath v Clyde 4/6
East Fife v Elgin 7/10
