QPR V Liverpool football betting tips.
So far this season has been about the paucity of Liverpool s attack; however those ruing the sale of Luis Suarez and being very vocal about it on the phone ins would do well to remember that he is still banned and therefore would have been ineligible for all games so far this season.
This game should see the welcome return of Daniel Sturridge and Brendan Rodgers may well possibly be tempted to play Balotelli alongside him up front to see if he can coax the best out of the maverick Italian. So far he has not lived up to anywhere near the expectation level and Brendan Rodgers has a major job on his hand to try and make this signing look like an inspired one.
In a recent pre-match analysis Gary Neville did an excellent job of highlighting why Simon Mignolet’s starting position is causing him problems.
He is crouching down far too much before the shot comes and this could be part of the reason why he is attracting so much criticism for some goals that have been let in that the armchair punter thinks might have been saved.
Apart from Mignolet the Liverpool defence has still not recovered from the loss of Jamie Carragher and Skrtel is dividing opinion on the Kop. The addition of Lovren to the Reds defence is still yet to be a justifiable expense and Sakho has a lot of work to do before he can reclaim a first-team place. Storming out of Anfield on learning he was not part of the starting 11 is not going to endear him to the manager.
This is one of those games where you would think that Liverpool have far too much firepower for bottom of the table QPR and with the international break giving many of the players a well-earned rest there really isn’t a case for betting against them.
With so many powerful additions to the squad and several key players returning from injury it can only be the case that Liverpool get better as the season evolves. This is a much better squad than the one that ran Manchester City so close last season for the premiership title and so I expect the momentum to start gathering pace starting with a win here against Queens Park Rangers.
