Karma is a bitch.

Just when you get your best player back to the top of his game you go and rest him to try and change formation - it doesn’t work, so you bring him on from the bench at half time and twenty minutes later he does a cruciate knee ligament.

Again.

Poor, Poor, Lucas. That is a tough pill to swallow.

And just as tough for Brendan Rodgers because if he didn’t know Lucas held the midfield together like super glue he does now, only now he can’t use him. Must be very frustrating to be a manager.

What a trek it is to Bournemouth for Reds fans.

Its bad enough going to Southampton, never mind tacking on the extra miles to get to Bournemouth.

There is a reason Exeter, Torquay, Plymouth, Portsmouth and the like toil away in the lower reaches of the League and that is because if it is a long Journey to get there for the away team then it’s just as long to get anywhere when you play away.

Trying to climb the ladder when you don’t have expenses for away stay travel is the main reason why sides who have huge distances to travel between fixtures lose.

It is what makes the local derby such a spicy encounter to watch because with no exhausting travel for the away team you can be sure they will put up a good fight.

Anyway ITV obviously think that the days of Liverpool getting knocked out of the cup by the Oldham’s and Bolton’s of this world are certainly not done with which is why they have picked this fixture to cover on Saturday lunchtime hoping for an upset.

If Liverpool lose this game I’ll eat my blog.

There’s no tactical analysis here. No excuses for players missing. No rotating the squad ready for Everton’s visit on Wednesday. Winning this game is all that matters.

I don’t see anything other than a Liverpool win, but then again I said that about the visit of Villa on Sunday and look what happened – we got totally outplayed for the whole of the first half.

Will the manager want to rest some players? He may be sorely tempted but what is wrong with starting with your strongest first eleven and making replacements when you are winning the game?

Bournemouth are 9/1 to win this game which shows exactly why bookies make the money they do – that is cruel odds for such an upset but clearly a lot of people think that they have a good chance of that happening and Liverpool returning red faced to Merseyside.

It’s not going to happen. Liverpool will win this game at a canter and you should take the 9/4 on offer at Coral that Luis Suarez scores first.

Get 2/1 at Betvictor that Luis Suarez scores first £10 wins £20 - it's buying money?

I placed this bet at Betvictor - go get it

But wait! Before you go, read my Betvictor review to see why I rate this bookie so highly and also see my bonus buster so that you claim your bonus bet correctly and don't get stiffed for making a small mistake like depositing with neteller or moneybookers.

You could also do this acca at Skybet where you won't get quite as good odds for doing it but you will get a free £5 bet to use on Monday - that's a good offer.

Read my skybet review and see the bonus buster here.
